The 3rd edition of PIFcamp is slowly coming to its conclusion. The intense hot week has not slowed down the PIFcampers by Soča and everybody is rushing to finish their project before the end of the week.
We are inviting you to visit us on the traditional Open Saturday (AUG 5). Throughout the day full of mini-events and presentations you can check out the diversity of PIFprojects and meet the fascinating participants of PIFcamp 2017.
The programme starts at 12PM and includes some of the activities listed below:

- Dario Cortese: A walk around the surrounding meadows
- Rosen Ivanov: Fermented drinks tasting
- Rampa Lab Team: Hands-on workshop with sensors (for kids)
- Mika Satomi and Hannah Perner-Wilson: E-textile ritual
- Kikimore (Sara Mlakar and Straška Guček): Ambiental sound performance
- Anton Prykhodko: “Hacking garden”installation made out of garbage with different inputs for connecting synths
- Vincent Groenhuis and Mojca Miklavec: Try out their electronic MIDI accordion
- Hannah Perner-Wilson: PIFpack video live
- Vaclav Peloušek & Bernhard Rasinger aka Laser Bros: Evening AV performance (lasers and modulars)
The traditional picnic, garment screen printing, and evening jam sessions included!
Accommodation for guests is unfortunately not possible, so we suggest you check out possible vacancies in the camps close by: Camp Jelinc, Camp Soča or Camp Korita. Since the Vršič pass road is still under reconstruction, we advise you to consider an alternative road via Predel / Predil (Italy).
PIFcamp is located in Soča Village (address Soča 25), right beside the local church.
We will ask the visitors joining the picnic for a modest contribution for food and drinks.

The 2nd PIFcamp is coming to an end. But before we leave the world of our Alpine hactivation, we invite you all to join us at Trenta (Soča 25, next to the village church). At the Open Saturday we will present what was done during our week-long camp.
This year we will not keep a formal schedule. We start with various installations, on-site workshops, lectures, presentations, jam sessions at noon.
IMPORTANT: Before you hit the road please check the information about the closures (Vršič and Gorenjska motorways).

We are happy to announce the dates for the second PIFcamp edition – we will return to the beautiful Soča Village between 25 and 31 of July for some proper geeky holidays! More info coming soon, until then feel free to enjoy the video from last year and plan your summer nerdish getaway accordingly!
On Sunday the first PIFcamp has officially come to its end. We said our goodbyes with high hopes of meeting again. We are proud to mark the first PIFcamp as successful and can slowly start preparing for the next one. Until then ciao to everyone and loads of hacking for all!

During the whole day:
Marc Dusseiller: Hands-on presentation of chlorophyll extraction. Mobile lab is working, so we will also do some stuff in the wild.
Peter Edwards and the Soča Synthesis group will set up interactive sound installations for a couple of hours. In the evening the synths move to the pendulum.
Come and talk about e-textiles and wearable electronics with Lynne Bruning and test the projects we built.
Luka Frelih will set up the stomp board and two sculptures made out of the material picked up near Soča. We can plug in more things during Saturday.
Test Werner’s super DIY blue-tooth speaker (oh, it is so much more)!

On Sunday morning Jure Peternel will educate on one of the most sustainable methods of domestic organic waste use by making them the main ingredient in the building of a raised garden bed. After 10am!
