The 2nd PIFcamp is coming to an end. But before we leave the world of our Alpine hactivation, we invite you all to join us at Trenta (Soča 25, next to the village church). At the Open Saturday we will present what was done during our week-long camp.
This year we will not keep a formal schedule. We start with various installations, on-site workshops, lectures, presentations, jam sessions at noon.
IMPORTANT: Before you hit the road please check the information about the closures (Vršič and Gorenjska motorways).
See you at 12h.
We’ve gotten tons of amazing applications, spaces are almost full, but we know there are still some great projects out there, so we are are extending the deadline until June 10. How to apply?

Come and talk about e-textiles and wearable electronics with Lynne Bruning and test the projects we built.
Luka Frelih will set up the stomp board and two sculptures made out of the material picked up near Soča. We can plug in more things during Saturday.
Test Werner’s super DIY blue-tooth speaker (oh, it is so much more)!
Check out PIFphotos from hacked cameras Michael Page built. They will also be set around the house, triggering randomly.
Check out the PIFweb tree by Tomaž Strgar.
Visual installations at night:
Tom O’Dea: Drakaea (remote weather installation)
Mick Murray: Interactive audio reactive lighting installation
Tilen Sepič: Light Orbit
On Sunday morning Jure Peternel will educate on one of the most sustainable methods of domestic organic waste use by making them the main ingredient in the building of a raised garden bed. After 10am!
A weekend is all that separates us from the beginning of the first Slovenian international hacker camp, when on location in Trenta (Soča village, house number 25) more than 50 participants will join forces and work on 12 projects from the fields of DIY electronics, circuit-bending, bio-hacking, e-textiles, wearable technologies, computer art, light interventions, food hacking and all other “ordinary” hacks of life!
We invite all, who are interested in this sort of activities, but are unable to attend for the whole week of PIFvacations, to visit us on Open Saturday (AUG 8) and join us in the activities throughout the day and PIFproject presentations.
There will also be plenty of guaranteed opportunities to converse with the unique, sagacious, resourceful and playful individuals, who participate in the camp.
It should be noted that all PIFcamp visitors have a special 20% discount, if in the time of the PIFhappening they choose to set up their tents in the nearby Jelinc camp (tourist tax is not included in the discount). You are able to get this offer, if you bring proof of your visit to the PIFcamp, which you will receive on PIFcamp location.
Looking forward to seeing you!
The Home Team is growing! Joining us at PIFcamp is Dario Cortese, a herbalist and a wild plants expert, so be prepared to utterly hack your everyday existence on long walks and nutritious talks. Cortese will also be joining forces with Marc Dusseiller and empirically satisfy all who wonder how nurturing these wild plants really are.
We are also excited that one of the participants in the camp is Marko Peljhan, who will collaborate, instruct, help and perhaps even take you fishing.
