After long and careful consideration we decided to carry out this year’s edition of PIFcamp, but in a (way) different format we are used to. There are several scenarios, plan Bs and alternative options for this year’s realisation, but it is clear that until the virus calms down, quarantine ends and measures in Slovenia and around the world loosen up, the event as we know it cannot be carried out. The safety and health of the participants and the team always comes first, so we ask you for patience and understanding in the next few weeks, when the options for the sixth PIF edition will be clearer.
Unfortunately, due to health reasons, there won’t be any open call for participation this year, but we guarantee that we’ll try to maintain PIFcamp’s diversity and multidisciplinarity of projects, skills and creative approaches, albeit virtually. All of the planned projects, nodes and activities will be announced on the blog, a large part of the content will also be published online.
Hopefully this year’s edition will be a one-time experiment and luckily we see each other again in the standard format next year. Last but not least, the charm of PIFcamp is also the uniqueness of each edition. For all questions and suggestions, we are available at email@example.com.
The 3rd edition of PIFcamp is slowly coming to its conclusion. The intense hot week has not slowed down the PIFcampers by Soča and everybody is rushing to finish their project before the end of the week.
We are inviting you to visit us on the traditional Open Saturday (AUG 5). Throughout the day full of mini-events and presentations you can check out the diversity of PIFprojects and meet the fascinating participants of PIFcamp 2017.
The programme starts at 12PM and includes some of the activities listed below:
Yair Reshef and Zohar Messeca-Fara: Electronic lollipops tasting
Dario Cortese: A walk around the surrounding meadows
Rosen Ivanov: Fermented drinks tasting

Accommodation for guests is unfortunately not possible, so we suggest you check out possible vacancies in the camps close by: Camp Jelinc, Camp Soča or Camp Korita. Since the Vršič pass road is still under reconstruction, we advise you to consider an alternative road via Predel / Predil (Italy).
PIFcamp is located in Soča Village (address Soča 25), right beside the local church.
We will ask the visitors joining the picnic for a modest contribution for food and drinks.
The 2nd PIFcamp is coming to an end. But before we leave the world of our Alpine hactivation, we invite you all to join us at Trenta (Soča 25, next to the village church). At the Open Saturday we will present what was done during our week-long camp.
This year we will not keep a formal schedule. We start with various installations, on-site workshops, lectures, presentations, jam sessions at noon.
IMPORTANT: Before you hit the road please check the information about the closures (Vršič and Gorenjska motorways).
